Water, Made Worth Watching

Cinematic films and social pieces for BE WTR, the sustainable luxury water brand, made inside the palaces and Michelin kitchens of France that pour it, from Le Bristol in Paris to Maison Marcon. BE WTR filters and activates still and sparkling water on site, so a palace or a starred kitchen can serve it without the single-use plastic, and the carbon, that used to come with it. The brief was to make that felt, not explained.

The Vision

Water is one of the hardest things to film: clear, quiet, easy to reduce to a commodity. A sustainability message carries its own trap, it tips into a lecture the moment it leans on claims. The work had to avoid both, make the water feel considered and genuinely premium, and let the environmental point land through people and places rather than a list of statistics.

Execution

I built the work around relationships, not product. Behind the Doors goes inside the great hotels, Le Bristol and the Hôtel du Couvent in Nice, and lets the people who run them say why the water on the table belongs to the same standard as everything else they serve. From the Chef does the same in the kitchen, with Régis Marcon at Maison Marcon. One visual language runs across every venue, the same grade and the same restraint, so a portrait film and a six second social cut read as the same brand. Everything is filmed on location, around real service, with a small footprint, because the credibility of the whole thing rests on it being real. The relationship, not the bottle, is always the subject.
