William Restaurant Reimagined

I shot, directed, and edited a cinematic food and hospitality film for William Restaurant at Reid's Palace. Named after the hotel's founder, William Reid, the restaurant holds one Michelin star and stands as a destination in its own right.

The Vision

The film translates the restaurant's identity through rhythm, texture, and detail rather than explanation. At its center is José Diogo Costa, whose cuisine draws directly from Madeira's seasonal produce, his hometown of Seixal, and the island's long-overlooked local producers.

Execution

The approach was grounded and precise, letting ingredients, gestures, and process speak for themselves. Handled end to end, with a restrained visual language designed to reflect both the refinement of the dining experience and the rawness of its origins.
