The Legacy Series

The Legacy Series profiles the people who have defined the Fairmont San Francisco over decades. Each film is a portrait of a single long-standing team member whose story is inseparable from the hotel itself, from Tom Wolfe, the first Concierge in the United States, to William May, the hotel's iconic doorman.

The Vision

Rather than promoting the property, the series centers on human stories and lived experience. It treats long-serving staff as the living memory of the hotel, focusing on how their roles evolved, what service meant decades ago, and how consistency and memory define true hospitality.

Execution

Each film is interview-led and intentionally restrained: minimal setup, natural light, tight framing, and space for reflection rather than overproduction. Directed, shot, and edited end-to-end, from idea to final cut.
